Seniors Program Preperation Assistant

Overview

The volunteer will assist with the packing and labeling of meals that are then delivered to seniors in the community.

• Assist with packing and labeling of meals for delivery to seniors.
• Learn about commercial packaging and delivery of meals through a not-for-profit lens.
• Communicate clearly and maintain attention to detail as meals are personalized for clients.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in the not-for-profit sector and in commercial food packaging.

• Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.
• Experience with commercial food packaging.
• Experience in communication and teamwork.

• The Gwen Secter meals program runs Tuesday through Friday.
• Prepare roughly 30 meals a day for delivery with volunteer drivers.
• Ideal volunteers available 4 days a week from 9:00 am to noon.
