We are a self‑help organization whose purpose is to help others to help themselves through peer support, support groups, education and advocacy by empowering people to develop and manage mental wellness.

Volunteer Opportunity

As a peer facilitator, you will serve to make sure that discussions remain on topic, that everyone has a chance to share and to create a welcoming environment for people coming in to talk about their mental health.

You are not expected to provide therapy or clinical advice – MDAM provides training, resources, and ongoing supervision to support you in this role.

Volunteers gain meaningful experience in peer support and community mental health while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Experience suitable for social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, or community services pathways.

Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+

Time Commitment:
Evening, Remote Volunteering – One hour weekly, ongoing.
