Manager of Events & Community Engagement

Elevate community connections as a Manager of Events & Community Engagement with the Toronto Public Library Foundation. This hybrid position focuses on executing high-impact events to foster philanthropy.

The selected candidate will oversee planning and execution of various events, including the iconic Biblio Bash gala and external community outreach activities. This role requires strategic thinking to enhance donor relations and expand the library’s impact throughout Toronto. You will collaborate with several teams to ensure seamless and effective events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning of high signature fundraising events

• Analyze pre and post-event results for improvement

• Create partnerships to expand audience reach and resources

• Manage and build relationships with multiple stakeholders

• Collaborate on event strategic marketing and communication plans

Requirements:

• 5-7 years in event planning in a non-profit context

• Proven ability to manage complex projects effectively

• Experience building community and brand partnerships

• Strong capability in cross-functional team collaboration

• Familiarity with event technology for planning and reporting
