Support Crohn's and Colitis Canada as a Community Connector and help make a meaningful impact in your community. This role requires building relationships, enhancing awareness, and promoting fundraising opportunities for those affected by these conditions, through both virtual and in-person outreach.
You'll commit around 4-6 hours per month to foster community connections, represent the organization at local events, and identify engagement opportunities. Partnering with schools, clinics, and businesses, you can strengthen local initiatives and drive participation in events such as the Gutsy Walk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish connections with local community partners
• Attend local health fairs and community gatherings
• Promote educational outreach about Crohn's and colitis
• Support fundraising efforts and engage community members
• Collaborate with fellow volunteers and staff
Requirements:
• Background in community networking
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and respond proactively
• Genuine commitment to community service
• One-year volunteer commitment expected
