Be a part of life-changing experiences as a Wish Granting Volunteer in Winnipeg with Make-A-Wish Canada. Help children with critical illnesses realize their dreams by closely working with them and their families.
As a Wish Granting Volunteer, you are an essential part of a loving and supportive team. You will meet and brainstorm with wish children and their families, helping shape unique wish experiences that provide hope and joy during challenging times.
Your role demands emotional sensitivity and good logistics to ensure wishes are fulfilled seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with wish families and volunteer partners
• Maintain excitement throughout the wish process
• Execute reveal plans and wish day events
• Support a minimum of 3-4 wishes per year
• Complete a background check on onboarding and every three years
Requirements:
• Must meet minimum age criteria
• Willing to undergo a police check
• Comfortable with commute to the location
• Friendly demeanor and good communication skills
• Basic IT skills and personal email access
