Social Media Assistant Volunteer
York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism across Canada. The Social Media Assistant Volunteer will support YRES’s online presence and help build welcoming, inclusive digital spaces for our community.
Responsibilities- Create and edit content for YRES’s Instagram account(s).
- Collaborate with the team to plan and schedule posts.
- Build and maintain a welcoming, inclusive online environment.
- Represent YRES in online interactions.
- Develop transferable soft skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication.
- Earn volunteer hours that can be added to your résumé.
- Receive free training and networking opportunities.
- Minimum age: 12.
- Passionate about volunteering and willing to learn new skills and software.
- Complete the required training prior to start date.
- Commit to the scheduled shift times.
- Fluency or high proficiency in a language other than English.
- Previous volunteer experience is preferred.
