Position: Nutritional Cook at Southern Health-Santé Sud
Location: Portage la Prairie

Become a vital part of Southern Health-Santé Sud as a Cook, serving nutritious meals to a vibrant community. This role emphasizes quality cooking and safe food handling practices.

As Cook 1, you will work under the direction of the Nutrition & Food Services team to provide safe and high-quality meals for clients and staff alike. Leveraging at least one year of relevant food service experience, your role is essential to upholding the health care facility's standards and fostering a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals to diverse clients

• Follow established cooking methods and food safety protocols

• Organize food service effectively for efficiency

• Communicate effectively within the health care team

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and order

Requirements:

• At least one year of cooking experience in a relevant setting

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Hold a current Food Handler Training certificate

• Experience with therapeutic dietary needs

• Valid Class 5 driving license and insurance
