An exciting opportunity awaits!We currently have an opportunity for a Lending Solutions Agent to join our team. As a Lending Solutions Agent, you will conduct phone interviews for loans, lines of credit and refinance mortgages for current members and potential members. You'll recognize member needs and promote and cross-sell all credit union products and services to members.
Specific Responsibilities- Review, assess, and decision daily and monthly reports, ensuring appropriate follow‑up and timely action to support both member needs and organizational requirements.
- Connect with members by phone, email, or MS Teams to respond to inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide accurate, timely, and friendly service.
- Support members with lending‑related questions by clearly explaining the features and benefits of products and services, while resolving routine inquiries with care and professionalism.
- Respond to internal department referrals and identify opportunities to connect members with additional products or services by referring cross‑selling opportunities to other SCU departments.
- Ensure all assigned lending activities are completed in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures, while maintaining a strong focus on member trust and financial well‑being.
- Post‑secondary education in business or a related field, and/or 1 to 3 years of lending experience within a credit union, bank, or other financial services environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated sales and relationship building experience, with the ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions that support their goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial information and build positive, trusting relationships with members and colleagues.
- Well developed analytical and decision making skills, with attention to detail and the ability to assess risk while balancing member service and organizational guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced, member‑focused environment.
