JOB SUMMARYThe role of a Counter Salesperson is to promote and develop sales opportunities with clients in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Duties
Promote sales to existing clientsIdentify and solicit potential clientsPrepare quotes and follow-up in a timely manner to track resultsAssess client’s needs and resources and recommend the appropriate products and servicesEstimate costs of installing products or serviceConsult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing supportEstablish work schedules and co-ordinate activities with other departmentsMay perform other duties pertaining to sales projectsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Hardware product knowledge and experience is an assetCost and budget managementStrong negotiation skillsGoal and result orientedStrong customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsSound understanding of the hardware, door and building construction industry sectorEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Sales experience an assetKnowledge of construction industry an assetProficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Navision Sales Order Entry System/AVAware Quoting SystemPHYSCIAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mainly In an office environment.Sitting for long periods while working with standard office equipment.Spend extended hours in front of a computer screenLifting of office supplies and materials of up to 80 lbs.Moderate lighting and variable temperatureRequired to enter areas of moderate to extreme noise i.e. the weld shop, warehouse and shipping/receivingStanding/sitting/bending at varied times throughout the dayRequired to go to external job sitesThis is a replacement position
