Account Management and Sales - Riverside Optical
Riverside Opticalab Ltd, part of Essilor Luxottica Canada Inc., seeks a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Consultant to promote and sell innovative ophthalmic lens products to eye care professionals and optical retailers. The role involves client visits, issue follow‑ups, and negotiating new deals to expand our market presence.
General FunctionThe successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our innovative lens products to eye care professionals and optical retailers. This role involves client visits, follow‑ups on issues, and negotiating new deals to expand our market presence.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Client Visits:
Regularly visit existing and potential clients, including optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical retailers, to maintain and build strong relationships. - Product Promotion:
Present and promote Riverside's range of ophthalmic lenses, highlighting new products, innovations, and advantages to meet client needs. - Issue Resolution:
Act as the primary contact for client concerns or issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. - Negotiation:
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with Riverside’s business objectives. - Market Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies and identify new business opportunities. - Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, client interactions, and market insights to the Sales Manager. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with broader company goals and to provide feedback for product improvements.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the ophthalmic lens or optical industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long–term client relationships.
- Self‑motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first‑class total rewards package.
