Environmental Analytical Chemistry Validator

Overview

GHD seeks a Chemistry Data Validator/Analytical Coordinator to support environmental projects and ensure data quality. This full-time role is available in various locations, including Toronto and Calgary.

Join GHDs Environmental team, where you will provide technical support in analytical chemistry across diverse oil & gas and mining projects. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and over five years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry, including data validation and laboratory coordination. Your expertise will ensure project objectives are met and high-quality data is analyzed.

• Perform data verifications and validations based on USEPA guidance
• Prepare validation reports and Quality Assurance Project Plans
• Assist in laboratory coordination and analytical methodology selection
• Monitor lab turnaround times to meet data quality objectives
• Collaborate with internal teams and external laboratories

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
• 5+ years of environmental analytical chemistry experience
• Familiarity with USEPA methodologies and PFAS analyses
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
