WSP is hiring a Field-Focused Environmental Scientist to coordinate monitoring and remediation of contaminated sites. Utilize your experience with hydrocarbons and environmental assessments in a critical role.
This Intermediate Environmental Scientist position is part of WSP’s RPM team located in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, or Regina. Collaborate with a team of professionals on complex projects that involve soil and groundwater investigations. The role requires excellent organization and communication skills, alongside a proactive approach to project management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop site-specific health and safety plans
- Oversee field work for environmental site assessments
- Prepare proposals and manage project budgets
- Compile and interpret data for reporting
- Mentor junior staff during assessment activities
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering
- Minimum 1 year experience in site assessments required
- Familiarity with remedial excavation and sampling
- Knowledge of environmental regulations in target provinces
- Skilled designation preferred
