Become a vital part of military operations as a Meteorological Technician. You'll forecast weather conditions for Royal Canadian Air Force, Navy Ships, and Army facilities while honing your meteorological skills.
This role involves observing and reporting weather changes and forecasting conditions to assist operational success. Working predominantly indoors, you'll also venture outdoors periodically, adapting to various weather conditions while working rotating shifts on land or at sea.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and document surface and upper air weather
• Analyze meteorological data for operational briefing
• Operate advanced meteorological equipment
• Provide critical weather forecasts to units
• Engage in field exercises under combat conditions
Requirements:
• Graduate from Grade 11 or equivalent
• Background in applied math, chemistry, or physics
• Open to candidates with no prior experience
• Flexibility to work in diverse environments
• Capability to manage rotating shifts
Support military efforts with essential weather forecasting skills.
