Location: Portage la Prairie
Transform agricultural practices in the Canadian Prairies as an Agronomist with MNP. This role emphasizes field scouting, soil analysis, and strategic crop recommendations for local farmers.
As part of MNP, a leading Canadian business advisory firm, you will focus on improving soil health and crop productivity. The Agronomist will carry out field visits, conduct analysis, and provide valuable recommendations for our clients. Collaboration is key, and flexibility to travel to various locations is required to meet client needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform field inspections for plant health and pest checks
• Conduct soil tests and provide actionable recommendations
• Facilitate Variable Rate mapping and assessments
• Analyze winter data on fertility and soil moisture
• Identify opportunities to enhance service to clients
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Agriculture or related discipline
• At least 2 years of agronomy experience is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Independence and teamwork ability in a flexible environment
• Willingness to work outdoors and overtime during peak seasons
