As our new Intermediate Environmental Scientist , you will play an important role on our Land Quality and Remediation team in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities- Participate in and support all aspects of contaminated site projects, including Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments and remediation projects
- Plan and conduct field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and other environmental sampling
- Assist with the preparation of work plans, field programs, technical reports, and project deliverables
- Review, analyze, and interpret environmental data and laboratory results
- Support the development of remediation options analyses, remedial action plans, and remediation programs
- Assist with the coordination and execution of environmental investigation and remediation programs
- Prepare clear and technically sound reports and other client deliverables
- Support project managers with project scheduling, budgets, tracking, and general project coordination
- Communicate with clients, contractors, laboratories, and other project stakeholders as required
- Participate in site visits and work at both urban and remote locations as required
- Support junior staff with fieldwork, data collection, and technical deliverables while continuing to develop your own technical skills
- Follow and promote SLR's health and safety requirements and demonstrate strong safety leadership in the field
- Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and other business development activities as opportunities arise
- Develop project management and client relationship skills with the support and mentorship of senior SLR professionals

- Minimum of a degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or a related environmental discipline
- Approximately 3-7 years of relevant experience in contaminated site investigation, environmental consulting, remediation, or related work
- Experience supporting or conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments is required;
