has been retained by our client to recruit an experienced Journeyman Framer to join a growing custom residential construction business.
This is a highly hands-on role for a skilled framing professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and teamwork. The Journeyman Framer will play a key role in the construction of high-quality custom homes, working within an integrated design-build environment where key trades are self-performed to ensure consistency, efficiency, and exceptional build quality.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working on-site, collaborating closely with other trades and project leaders, and contributing to projects from the ground up. Experience working with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction is considered a strong asset.
The Role
The Journeyman Framer will be responsible for executing all aspects of residential framing, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard of quality. This role works closely with site leadership and other trades to support efficient project delivery and exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform residential framing tasks, including walls, floors, roofs, and structural componentsRead and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specificationsFrame custom residential homes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailWork collaboratively with concrete, finishing, and other on-site tradesAssist with ICF formwork installation where requiredEnsure work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized job siteUse tools and equipment safely and efficientlyContribute positively to a team-focused, quality-driven work environmentQualifications & Experience
Journeyman Framer certification required3+ years of residential framing experience preferredExperience working on custom or high-end residential projectsExposure to or experience with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) systems is a strong assetAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of residential building codes and best practicesValid driver’s license and reliable transportationStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailWhat You Bring
