Position: Apprentice/Labourer – Flat Roofing

Job Title: Apprentice/Labourer – Flat Roofing
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour (starting rate, based on experience)

Job Overview

Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring Apprentice/Labourers for flat roofing projects in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Flat Roofing Support

  • Assist crew members with installing roofing systems
  • Load, unload, and move materials around the job site
  • Remove debris and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Support proper storage and protection of materials
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous construction or roofing experience is an asset, but not required
  • Experience with roofing systems (Mod-Bit, EPDM, TPO, Asphalt & Gravel) is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract required
  • Safety certifications (Fall Protection, WHMIS/GHS) are an asset
  • Experience operating construction equipment is an asset

    • Working Conditions

  • Work at heights and on ladders
  • Physically demanding (lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, kneeling, standing for long periods)
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Early mornings, with possible overtime, evenings, and weekends
  • Travel to rural job sites may be required
