Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailers

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced testing equipment

Repair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, turbochargers, brakes, steering, and suspension systems

Complete warranty-related repairs and documentation

Conduct road tests when required

Operate shop tools, hoists, welding equipment, and diagnostic systems safely

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Complete repairs efficiently with minimal supervision

Support additional shop projects as needed

Qualifications

5+ years of practical tractor-trailer maintenance experience

Valid Red Seal or applicable provincial trade certification

Valid Class 3 or Class D licence with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on major components

Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding, and computerized diagnostics

Basic computer skills

Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Willingness to travel locally for service calls or training when needed

Physical Requirements

Regular lifting up to 12 kg

Frequent lifting up to 23 kg

Occasional lifting up to 45 kg

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work with tools throughout the shift
