Position Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailersDiagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced testing equipmentRepair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, turbochargers, brakes, steering, and suspension systemsComplete warranty-related repairs and documentationConduct road tests when requiredOperate shop tools, hoists, welding equipment, and diagnostic systems safelyMaintain a clean and organized work areaComplete repairs efficiently with minimal supervisionSupport additional shop projects as neededQualifications
5+ years of practical tractor-trailer maintenance experienceValid Red Seal or applicable provincial trade certificationValid Class 3 or Class D licence with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months)Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on major componentsExperience using hand tools, power tools, welding, and computerized diagnosticsBasic computer skillsAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentReliable attendance and strong work ethicWillingness to travel locally for service calls or training when neededPhysical Requirements
Regular lifting up to 12 kgFrequent lifting up to 23 kgOccasional lifting up to 45 kgAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work with tools throughout the shift
