Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Crane Operator (Journeyperson/Red Seal or 3rd Year Apprentice) based in our Winnipeg, MB branch.

Straight-time hourly position, unionized.

Sites of business operation as required, branch located at PO Box 56 Grp 582 Rr 5, Winnipeg, Manitoba (on-site).

• Assisting crane operators in assembly, disassembly and transport of cranes.
• Rigging of equipment.
• Assist mechanic with the maintenance of cranes and general duties in the shop and yard.
• Delivery of equipment and rigging as needed.

• 3rd year apprentice or Journeyperson certificate.
• Class 1A driver’s license is required.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 987 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 987.

As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screening.
