Mobile crane operator

Job Overview

Temporary mobile and tower crane operator – 32 to 68 hours per week. English required. 5+ years experience and trade certificate or diploma necessary. Work site: outdoors, at heights, noisy, cold/ refrigerated, dusty.

• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place equipment and materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of cranes, including lubrication.
• Instruct apprentices and provide training.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and records.
• Work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks with attention to detail.
• Use own tools and equipment; wear steel‑toed safety boots, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment.

• Mobile Crane Operator trade certification.
• Hoisting licence.
• Red Seal certificate.
• WHMIS certificate.
• First Aid certificate.
• Fall Arrest Protection Training Certificate.
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) certificate.

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Own vehicle.
• Ability to use hydraulic or telescoping boom cranes.
• Ability to work in hazardous conditions: cold, noise, dust, and at heights.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks.
• Dependable, team player with excellent oral communication skills.
