Tasks- Install built‑up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
- Install single‑ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
- Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Repair or replace single‑ply roofing systems.
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
- Install sheet metal flashings.
- Estimate costs and materials.
1 to 2 people.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses- Roofer Trade Certification.
- Working at heights training.
Shingled roofs.
Security and safety- Driving record check (abstract).
- Criminal record check.
Own transportation. Willing to travel.
Work conditions and physical capabilitiesFast‑paced environment. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks.
Weight handlingUp to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
