Safety certifications, including First Aid and Fall Arrest Training, are essential for a successful career in roofing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt materials

• Set roofing tiles on sloped roofs for buildings

• Repair or replace shingles and roofing systems

• Apply waterproof coatings on concrete surfaces

• Erect scaffolding and work platforms safely

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation certificate

• 1 to 2 years of roofing experience

• WHMIS and Fall Arrest Protection certifications
