Heavy Duty Mechanic – Construction Equipment

We are seeking a Red Seal certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our service team. This role involves repairing, servicing, and diagnosing foundation and/or drilling equipment in both shop and field environments. We are looking for a proactive, safety‑focused technician who takes pride in delivering reliable service.

• Diagnose, repair, and service foundation and rock drilling equipment (drill rigs, tooling, attachments)
• Perform maintenance on major foundation equipment brands
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and CAN‑bus systems; read and interpret schematics
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers
• Adhere to strict safety standards and quality protocols
• Travel as needed for field service calls (occasional overnight stays)

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification (3rd‑year apprentices considered)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience on large construction and heavy‑duty equipment
• Experience with blast hole and production drilling is an asset
• Willingness to travel
• Must have own tools
• Excellent troubleshooting, technical skills, and mechanical aptitude
• Commitment to safe work practices
• First‑Aid, Forklift, Welding ticket, or other certifications considered an asset
