Outboard Motor Mechanic Position

Join our team as a Marine Outboard Mechanic, where you'll diagnose and repair outboard motors in a hands-on, in-person setting. Ensure vessels operate efficiently and safely through expert maintenance.

As a Marine Outboard Mechanic, you will work under the guidance of the Service Manager or Shop Foreman. This role requires solid mechanical and diagnostic skills to maintain various outboard engines and marine systems. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections while utilizing diagnostic software and tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose outboard motor mechanical and electrical issues

• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and tune-ups

• Repair fuel, ignition, and cooling systems as needed

• Install new motors and accessories, ensuring operational efficiency

• Conduct engine performance testing and inspections

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience with outboard motors

• Marine mechanic certification preferred

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• Knowledge of marine electrical and fuel systems

• Ability to lift components over 50 lbs
