Position: Milton Hydro Powerline Technician Opportunity
Join Milton Hydro as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician and play a key role in high-voltage electric distribution. This position supports community growth through essential electrical services.

In this unionized, full-time role, you will be tasked with constructing and maintaining electrical distribution systems up to 27.6 kV. The position requires skills for live line work, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring safety compliance. You will also take on the important role of mentoring apprentices, enhancing the team’s capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain electrical distribution systems for effective service

• Execute live line work for overhead and underground systems

• Operate boom trucks and related machinery safely

• Install and manage meters and conductors assigned

• Contribute to training of Powerline Technician apprentices

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate or equivalent

• Valid Utility Work Protection Code certification

• Class DZ driver’s license required

• Knowledgeable in electrical utility safety practices

• Physically fit for rigorous outdoor tasks
