Position: Journeyperson Powerline Technician Role
Take your career further with Milton Hydro as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician, specializing in high-voltage distribution. This full-time role is critical for ensuring safe and effective electrical services.
Milton Hydro is expanding its Powerline Technician Team to meet community demands. Your responsibilities will include the construction and maintenance of electrical systems up to 27.6 kV, emergency responses, and conducting live line work. You will also mentor apprentices, fostering the next generation of technicians within the unionized setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and perform maintenance on electrical distribution systems

• Carry out live line work on various systems

• Safely operate boom trucks and associated equipment

• Install meters and conductors based on assignments

• Guide and mentor apprentice technicians in their development
Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate or equivalent

• Certification in Utility Work Protection Code mandatory

• Must hold a valid Class DZ driver’s license

• Strong understanding of electrical utility safety practices

• Capable of physical demands for climbing and outdoor work
