Truck Transport Mechanic

Truck Transport Mechanic - $40-$48 per hour Winnipeg

We are seeking an experienced Truck & Transport mechanic, either an apprentice or ticketed Heavy Duty Mechanic with 3+ years of experience in a service shop environment, to join our permanent team.

Permanent Position

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, daytime

Wage: $40-$48 per hour

• Participate in tool box talks to start the day
• Review open work orders
• Perform vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Diagnose and repair transmissions, differentials, clutches, and driveline components
• Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex problems
• Carry out routine preventative and out-of-warranty corrective maintenance
• Complete safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed
• Utilize strong communication skills to explain vehicle issues to other mechanics and customers

• Truck and Transport ticket is a strong asset
• Own toolbox
• Strong safety practices
• Class 1 driver license is a strong asset
• Ability to lift 60 lbs safely
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
