The Role

In this role, you will diagnose, repair, install, and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Utilize specialized tools such as electrical testing.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
- Sheet metal Apprentice, Journeyman or B ticket considered an asset.
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a solid understanding of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and mechanical knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications and property maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical skills including equipment repair.
- Strong field service experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently on-site.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as ohmmeters and familiarity with HVAC/R safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
