Toromont Cat is looking for a Welder to join our team! The Welder plays an key role in our Service department providing technical expertise to ensure superior customer service in the maintenance, repair and fabrication of parts and structures in our shop.
Must live within drivable proximity to Sudbury as there is no accommodation provided.
Schedules- 7 days on x 7 days off (12 hours)
- 4 x10 hours
- Pay Type:
Full Time, Permanent - Compensation: $49.98 per hour

- Operate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Fabricate structures from drawings or sketches.
- Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field.
- Restore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, disassembling and assembling relative components.
- Maintain an inventory of materials used for fabrication.
- Maintain and build strong customer relations.
- Experience in the technique of line-boring (huge asset).
- Post-secondary education in the field of welding or conventional machining.
- Three years professional experience working with GMAW, SMAW and FCAW techniques.
- CWB or Canadian Red seal certified (an asset).
