Heavy Duty Underground Mechanic Position

Location: Stonewall

Join Major Drilling as a licensed Underground Mechanic, specializing in heavy-duty equipment. This shop position offers excellent wages, paid training, and an RRSP plan while focusing on safety and reliability.

As an experienced mechanic, you will play a crucial role with Major Drilling, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various heavy-duty equipment. Your hands-on knowledge, especially with hydraulic and electrical systems, will ensure optimal performance in the field. This position supports continuous growth and development within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty equipment like drills and bulldozers

• Inspect and test hydraulic systems using flow meters

• Repair electrical systems, including starters and engine electronics

• Complete equipment logs and repair reports efficiently

• Communicate any repair and equipment issues promptly

Requirements:

• Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) or equivalent

• 1-3 years' experience in equipment repair

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Ability to pass Drug/Alcohol Screen & Fit for Duty test

• Willingness to travel for work assignments
