Maintenance Mechanic-Night Shift
Job Requisition #: 034328 Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift (Open)
Schedule11:30 PM - 8:00 AM;
Training for the first month on day shift, then moving to the night shift.
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with procedures, including visual inspections, checking fluid levels, lubricating, cleaning parts, tightening and adjusting components, replacing parts, and calibrating sensors and gauges.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on machinery and equipment to assess condition, performance, and functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues by conducting tests, examining symptoms, and using diagnostic tools to pinpoint causes, determining materials, replacement parts, and tools needed for minor to moderate repairs.
- Document maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed; provide recommendations for future repairs or adjustments.
- Proactively inspect and maintain workshop tools and equipment to ensure they remain in working condition.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing replacement orders, receiving and verifying against receipts, and requesting replenishments for commonly used items.
- Assist with or participate in projects involving installation, modification, or relocation of machinery and equipment.
- Follow technical documents, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, blueprints, schematics, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Provide feedback on ongoing issues.
- Complete all paperwork associated with the role, including but not limited to work orders, parts request forms, RCA reports, PM inspection sheets, runtime inspection sheets, and downtime reports.
- Follow guidance from more senior level mechanics and assist more junior level mechanics with routine questions.
- Adhere to operational and company safety procedures and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and 2‑4 years of experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds; physically capable of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Skill in using diagnostic tools to assess performance and functionality.
- Troubleshooting ability to identify root causes and perform moderate repairs.
- Knowledge of technical documents, schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- Accuracy in documenting repairs and recommending future maintenance.
- Organizational skills to manage tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
- Capability to support equipment installation, modification, and relocation.
- Communication skills to share feedback and assist junior mechanics.
- Works well under general guidance while following safety and operating procedures.
- Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and compliance with procedures.
The pay range for this position is $ – $. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $ to $. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role.
The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
