Rockport Commercial is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator with a Class 1 license for diverse excavation projects, focusing on technical excellence in a high-performance environment.

This position requires a skilled operator who can handle multiple machines and take responsibility for hauling equipment. You’ll employ your technical knowledge to navigate GPS systems and interpret blueprints while being involved in manual labor when required. Your ability to maintain equipment and solve on-site problems is essential for keeping operations efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Dozers, Excavators, and other heavy equipment

• Use GPS to achieve precise site elevations

• Load and safely transport equipment (for Class 1 drivers)

• Perform daily maintenance on machinery

• Diagnose and fix minor equipment issues on-site

Requirements:

• Experience in commercial excavation or site development

• Advanced GPS operation skills and plan reading capability

• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to teamwork

• Availability for winter operations duties

• Valid license and clean driving record

• Reliable transport for job sites
