The Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Maintenance Tradesperson / Painter position in Winnipeg. The Painter position supports the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of provincially owned properties and other district buildings. The position requires a qualified journeyperson who demonstrates technical expertise, sound judgment, and professionalism while working independently or collaboratively to maintain critical building repairs.

Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor, or designate, the incumbent performs painting and maintenance services in owner facilities to include but not limited to: painting; surface finishes; mixing paint; using brushes, roller or spray equipment; performs inspection and preparing scopes of work for maintenance and repairs. May be required to assist contractors, trades helpers or other designated persons. This position does not possess supervisory responsibilities.
