Facilities Technician
Job DescriptionOur company is seeking a Facilities Technician II to join our team. The role is responsible for general plant maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and safely. The technician must be able to move quickly from project to project, cooperating with various departments to meet needs within the required timeframe.
What You’ll Do- Complete production equipment repairs including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Create and maintain equipment records and documentation (SAP).
- Monitors assets regarding security measures, door security equipment, and ensures they remain functional including daily maintenance issues such as batteries and mechanical hardware.
- Ability to operate multiple models of forklifts, scissor lifts as well as flatbed trucks and pickup trucks with trailers.
- Ability to perform job tasks, including lifting, using ladders, and climbing stairways.
- Performs assigned day‑to‑day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include janitorial, plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
- Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Update work orders with required data, work hours and equipment downtime.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Skilled in facilities competencies such as painting, cleaning, carpentry and assembly.
- Ability to use forklifts and heavy machinery.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Flexibility to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
- A proactive mindset, a self‑starter.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office required.
- Compensation: $24-31/hr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
