Position: Grid Response Powerline Technician with Valard
Work with Valard Construction as a Powerline Technician on the Grid Response Team for Toronto Hydro. This role is focused on promptly addressing outages and performing necessary electrical maintenance.

Reporting directly to the Senior Foreperson, you will be instrumental in upholding the reliability and safety of electrical distribution. This position is suited for skilled technicians ready to work shifts and overtime to meet urgent service needs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and restore electrical service during outages

• Perform maintenance on electrical distribution systems

• Follow established safety and operational standards

• Inspect and maintain poles and transformers

• Keep accurate records of all work activities

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification

• 5 years of relevant electrical distribution experience

• Class 4 Rubber Glove experience

• Valid Class DZ Driver's license

• Up-to-date Working at Heights Certification
