Job Description Summary Build Your Career With North America's Fastest-Growing Rental Company We're looking for a skilled Construction Heat & Service Technician to support our growing temporary heating and rental equipment operations in this hands-on role, you'll operate a company service truck to deliver, install, inspect, service, and troubleshoot temporary heating equipment at construction sites and industrial facilities throughout the region.
When not in the field, you'll work in our shop preparing, maintaining, and repairing equipment to ensure it's ready for rental.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys a mix of field service, customer interaction, and shop work. A Class A or Class B Gasfitter License is strongly preferred.
What You'll DoSafely operate a company service truck to deliver, install, service, and retrieve rental equipment
Install, commission, and troubleshoot temporary heating equipment on construction and industrial sites
Connect and test propane and natural gas systems in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards
Inspect gas hoses, regulators, piping, and fuel supply systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical and operational issues on temporary heaters and related rental equipment
Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and equipment testing
Train customers on the safe operation of rental equipment
Complete service reports, inspection records, and equipment documentation accurately
Maintain professional communication with customers, project managers, dispatch, and sales staff
Support equipment loading, unloading, inventory management, and yard operations
Clean, inspect, and prepare returned equipment for the next rental
Assist with equipment repairs, maintenance, and shop projects when not performing field service work Participate in an on-call rotation during peak seasonal periods as required
Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices
What We're Looking For Education & Experience Experience servicing, installing, or maintaining temporary heating, construction, industrial, propane, or gas-fired equipment
Class A or Class B Gasfitter License preferred
Experience working with propane and natural gas systems is considered a strong asset
Construction, industrial, rental equipment, petroleum, mechanical, or service industry experience preferred
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Experience working independently in field service environments
Ability to read manuals, service procedures, and basic technical drawings
Basic computer and mobile device skills for service documentation
Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Class A or Class B Gasfitter License preferred
Construction safety certifications are considered assets (CSTS, First Aid, Fall Protection, etc.)Forklift or equipment operation experience is considered an asset
Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move heating equipment, hoses, and related materials
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on active construction sites
Ability to travel locally throughout the Winnipeg region and surrounding areas for service calls

Base Pay Range
36.61 - 52.62
