Journeyman Carpenter at Seven Oaks Hospital

The role requires a skilled Journeyman Carpenter with at least five years of experience, ideally in a healthcare facility. Responsibilities include problem-solving technical issues and overseeing work by Utility Persons and contractors. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret architectural drawings and execute renovations effectively while maintaining safety standards in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and maintain millwork and architectural items

• Inspect and direct work of Utility Persons and contractors

• Modify and repair building components as needed

• Plan and organize maintenance projects with staff

• Ensure compliance with Manitoba Fire and Building Codes

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of carpentry experience

• Grade 12 education and Journeyman certification

• Familiarity with hospital/institutional settings preferred

• Proficient in carpentry tools and equipment

• Ability to work independently and manage projects
