Pump Operators, Tailings Management & Environmental Solutions (Northern Manitoba)

CEDA is hiring Pump Operators within our Tailings Management & Environmental Solutions division for a project in Northern Manitoba starting mid-August.

- Operate, monitor, and maintain high-capacity pumps, pipelines, and fluid transfer systems.
- Monitor flow rates, pressures, and system performance to ensure efficient dredging and tailings operations.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs on pumps and associated equipment.
- Support fluid management and tailings handling activities while maintaining environmental compliance.
- Coordinate with dredge operators and supervisors to optimize production and system performance.
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies, leaks, or operational issues and assist with corrective actions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and production records.
- Ensure work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and company safety initiatives.
- Assist with marine operations, material handling, and heavy equipment activities as required.
- 2+ years of labour experience required
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
- Valid ECS CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)
- Standard first aid, fall arrest training beneficial
- Valid pleasure craft operator card an asset
- Comfortable working on and around open bodies of water
- Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems or dredging and dewatering an asset
- Experience around heavy equipment (loader, dozer, excavator, backhoe) an asset
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- You have the ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- You demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- You demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- You possess an uncompromising commitment to health and safety at all times
