SKI Construction LP is seeking an experienced and reliable Mac Lean Bolter
Operator to join our underground mining team at Lalor Mine, Manitoba. The
successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a Mac Lean Bolter to
install ground support systems while maintaining high safety and productivity
standards in an underground mining environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Comply with all site-specific and underground policies and procedures to] maintain operational integrity and safety standards.
- Installation of ground support using a Mechanized Bolter
- Operating various pieces of underground mining equipment specifically, mechanized Bolter's and scissor decks.
- Ensure that the work area and equipment are consistently maintained in a clean, organized, and operational condition to support safety and efficiency.
- Other mining related tasks as required.
- Minimum five (5) years working full-time in an underground mining environment.
- Minimum two (2) years experience long hole drilling.
- Must be competent drilling with Epiroc drills.
- Demonstrates strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to comprehend written work instructions and accurately complete shift reports, including documentation of meters drilled and any issues encountered
- Capable of reading and interpreting mine engineering drawings and drill prints to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Communicates effectively when receiving or delivering verbal instructions, contributing to safe and efficient completion of assigned duties.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings and "welcome back" sessions upon returning to site to ensure alignment with safety protocols and operational updates.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Must be willing to work a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotational schedule.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs repetitively and consistently throughout the workday.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse crews and adapt seamlessly to different team dynamics.
- Maintains a positive attitude and takes initiative as a proactive contributor to high-performing teams.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining focus, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Alcohol & Drug Testing.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
