Lead Construction Technician

Winnipeg, Manitoba (serves Manitoba and Northern Ontario)
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee petroleum equipment installation projects, including tanks and piping.
- Install, test, and commission petroleum equipment per regulatory standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage subcontractors for additional disciplines (electrical, excavation, concrete, civil).
- Resolve construction issues, including scope changes and design challenges.
- Monitor budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform manual tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Travel as required (construction division covers Saskatchewan and adjoining provinces).
- Licensed Petroleum Installer / PM2 or PM3 Certification (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of petroleum/fueling construction experience; basic electrical knowledge an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines.
- Mechanically inclined and competent with tools and equipment.
- Physically capable of demanding work; willing to work long shifts and extra hours.
