Commercial Construction Carpenter

As a Carpenter, you will determine construction methods from job specifications and support commercial forming, framing, and foundation work. The position involves metric and imperial measurements, material takeoffs, fittings, fixtures, and construction documentation. You will also assist the Site Superintendent with structural design, planning, layout, and installation while keeping worksites clean.

• Study specifications and determine appropriate construction methods
• Read blueprints and prepare layouts using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, and install diverse construction materials
• Form, frame, and build foundations for commercial projects
• Complete reports, timecards, photography, and document control

• Completed carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent five-plus years’ experience
• Strong understanding of carpentry installation and construction methods
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, building practices, and codes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Procore experience considered an asset
