Under the administrative direction of building administration, this person provides clerical support to the Area Learning Center administrative office and is responsible for processing and maintaining confidential information and records including accident reports, personnel records, and other student and employee information. This position completes employment sheets, reconciles absences and timesheets for approval by the administrator, creates and receives in purchase orders, coordinates internal and external substitutes for various positions in the building, student credit and transcript work, ALC documentation, and works closely with administration to perform other organization and communication related duties.
QualificationsQualified candidates will be a current member of the Office Professionals' Bargaining Unit. Must have the ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, coordinate and process a variety of tasks in a detail oriented and accurate manner. Must have experience with a broad range of computer programs, including input, retrieval, and manipulation of data spreadsheets, word processing, and database systems. Individual must have demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding, word processing, data management, spreadsheet development and management, and publishing.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with staff and members of the public with sensitivity and tact. Must have a demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituencies in a positive manner and the ability to work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Versatility and an ability to adapt to changing priorities is required.
