Supply Chain Manager-ITAR/DFAR

Overview

Working as Product Compliance Manager you will be a strategic link between Fastenal’s Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Suppliers, Customers and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be leading and developing the Product Compliance team focused on National Account and Local customer agreements with an emphasis on Federal contract compliance related to ITAR/DFAR/CUI. You will help research, create solutions and enforce compliance throughout our supply chain in all countries in which Fastenal operates.

This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities
  • Enforcing company policies regarding supply chain compliance
  • Ensuring the protection of CUI within the organization through secure cloud storage
  • Researching federal regulations and their applicability to Fastenal
  • Traveling to stores, trade shows, customer sites, and international offices for training and/or internal audits
  • Expanding/Building out CUI approved supplier listing
  • Continuing to improve supplier portal and contract management tools
  • Leading and developing a team of employees and train domestic and international compliance teams
  • Administering requests for proposals (RFPs) and customer contracts
  • Completing federally mandated forms and questionnaires
  • Reviewing customer contracts for compliance‑related fields, including ITAR/DFAR/CUI, Product Compliance, Trade Compliance, Hazmat and Supplier Compliance
  • Creating and enforcing compliance SOPs for Fastenal’s field sellers upon successful agreement signing
  • Maintaining Fastenal's CAGE code registration
  • Utilizing internal systems such as People Soft, PIM and Microsoft Office Suite
Required Position Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in supply chain, product development, sourcing, content, or compliance
  • Possess at least 2 years of leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $60,000 – $90,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
