This is a contract, on-site position designed for a physician who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
As a Locum Urology physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall success of our medical practice, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, evidence-based care.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive urological care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up management.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures related to urological conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency urological care as needed.
- Stay current with advances in urology and incorporate best practices into clinical care.
- Maintain compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and supervision to medical residents, fellows, and support staff when applicable.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Urology is required.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urology, with a strong foundation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in urological surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques.
Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and clinical decision‑making skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced medical practice environment.

- Must be available for on‑site work in Winona and willing to comply with contract assignment requirements.
