Key Kids Program Assistant

Winona Area Public Schools Community Education is seeking candidates to fill several Key Kids Program Assistant positions, Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to program supervisor
• Create a safe, enriching environment for children in a K-5 childcare setting
• Supervise and encourage children to participate in activities
• Plan, organize, and collect fees for activities
• Handle any discipline
• Prepare snacks and supervise lunch area
• Help with the daily organizing of games, equipment, and supplies
• Supervise and clean the center and outdoor areas as needed

Qualifications:

• Desire to work with children in a childcare setting
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and play on the floor, and indoors and outdoors with children
• Preference may be given to candidates with training or experience working in the human services field, and/or with previous advisor work experience
