Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Aide position provides cleaning and disinfecting services to all departments, patients and residents at Winona Health. The caregiver must be flexible to work several positions with varied responsibilities. Must provide excellent customer service to those we serve.
While working in patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces, the Housekeeping Aide strictly adheres to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliance and protect patient privacy and well-being.

- Provides excellent customer service to all patients, residents, customers and co-workers.
- Anticipates the needs and wants of those we serve.
- Use of commercial cleaning products and chemicals.
- Use of commercial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to follow standard work, standard cleaning, and disinfecting procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform waste removal duties including infectious and hazardous waste, sharps disposal, recycling and trash disposal, and linen transport
- Prioritizes and organizes work efficiently to meet department timelines.
- Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
- Understands, supports and integrates the organization’s vision/mission/values/manifesto.
- Keeps an open mind and demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques that embrace change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- High School/GED Equivalent.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred:
- Previous healthcare housekeeping experience.
