Job Title:
Human Resources Coordinator

Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt - Hourly
Location: Onsite – Manufacturing Facility

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the daily administrative operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting onboarding and payroll processes, tracking compliance documentation, and serving as a first point of contact for routine employee questions. The HR Coordinator works under the direction of HR Manager and follows established company policies, procedures, and GMP requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Records & Compliance

  • Maintain complete and accurate employee personnel files (paper and electronic)
  • Ensure compliance documentation is completed and retained, including I‑9s, tax forms, acknowledgements, and training records
  • Track document expiration dates and notify HR leadership of upcoming reverifications

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Prepare and distribute new hire packets and orientation materials
  • Coordinate and schedule new hire orientations
  • Enter new hires, job changes, and terminations into HRIS/payroll systems
  • Process offboarding paperwork and maintain termination documentation

Timekeeping & Payroll Support

  • Assist employees and supervisors with timekeeping questions and corrections
  • Review time punches for accuracy and follow up on missing or incorrect entries
  • Support payroll processing and reporting as directed by HR Manager

Employee Support

  • Serve as a front‑line resource for routine employee questions related to:
  • Benefits enrollment
  • Attendance and PTO balances
  • Company policies and forms
  • Direct sensitive employee relations matters to HR leadership
  • Assist employees with completing HR forms accurately and timely

Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain tracking logs for:
  • Attendance and points
  • Training completion
  • Performance review due dates
  • Generate basic HR reports as requested

Policy & Administrative Support

  • Distribute handbook updates and collect employee acknowledgements
  • Maintain HR forms, templates, and files
  • Ensure HR documentation is completed consistently and on time
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR or manufacturing
  • Strong organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑based environment

Preferred

  • Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (ADP preferred)
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or GMP‑regulated environments
