Custodial Maintenance Athletes are essential to safe and efficient operations. Under limited supervision, Custodial Maintenance will be required to perform all manner of general and advanced housekeeping, cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment, interior and exterior facility maintenance, and associated seasonal assignments. This requires sustained moderate physical activity throughout the shift, including ability to crouch, climb, push, pull, reach, lift and carry.
Custodial Maintenance Athletes will be assigned tasks in varying buildings and it is essential that they are able to read their schedule and report to the correct work center on time for each scheduled shift.
- Completes routine janitorial and housekeeping tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, floor care, dusting, etc.
- Replenish appropriate supplies in restrooms and common areas. Maintains inventory records, restocks unused items, and reports inventory replenishment needs.
- Performs Exterior touchup painting and interior painting.
- Mow, trim, rake and general lawn & grounds maintenance.
- Snow removal, monitor and address ice and slip hazards.
- Will occasionally be required to work extended hours beyond normal assigned shift as well as weekends and other appropriate times.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance of facility equipment as assigned.
- Requires annual training in Lock Out-Tag Out Procedures
- Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
- Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
- Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read and follow instruction
- Ability to stay on task with limited supervision
- Ability to safely and effectively use a large variety of hand and power tools.
- Requires valid driver’s license and personal transportation to drive between plant locations
- Ability to count accurately and perform simple math functions
- Ability to complete documentation associated with preventative maintenance activity
- Maintain current certifications:
- Bloodborne pathogens
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.
- Able to stand and walk for entire shift
- Comfortable with ladder use
- Able to turn or bend
- Able to crouch, crawl, climb and reach
- Able to push a cart
- Must work in a variety of conditions both indoor and outdoor
- May work in a warm, humid environment
- May work in a high noise environment
- Frequently requires working with greasy and oily equipment and components
- Sturdy leather boots or shoes are required, safety toed boots or shoes are recommended
- Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents
- May work around machinery with moving parts
- Required to know & don PPE applicable to work-center and hazardous material handling guidelines which may include:
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection
- Chemical resistant gloves
- Heat resistant gloves
- Safety toed shoes
- The compensation rate is $16.50/hour which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
