1st Shift CNC Machinist

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper machine startup and functionality.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets to maintain precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Ensure accurate machine alignment, secure fixture holds, and proper selection of cutting tools and materials per customer specifications.
• Adjust machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and depth of cut to optimize performance.
• Conduct trial runs and inspections to verify part accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Monitor machine operation for malfunctions or deviations and perform corrective actions.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify finished workpiece conformity to specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support staff to maintain continuous production with minimal waste.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned machines.

• Associate degree in a related field or completion of a technical school program preferred. Equivalent experience (six months to one year) in a CNC machining role will also be considered.
• Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
