Press Operator - 3rd shift

The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

• Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 hourly DOE
• Shifts Available: 3rd

  New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines
• Report all safety concerns or issues to immediate supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments
• Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used
• Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks
• Complete all press-side quality checks
• Operate press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency
• Maintain consistent quality during the production run
• Conduct critical quality checks including copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion
• Ensure conformance to all other quality checks
• Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard
• Complete press make-ready in an efficient manner
• Complete all required equipment maintenance duties
• Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate press as needed
• Input all required information into the Radius system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training is a plus (not required)
• Physical demands: standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking and hearing
• Requires frequent walking
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
